Your Committee Usually meets on the third Thursday of each month any notice, comment or request should arrive with the Secretary by the Monday previous.
Chairman
Ron Hale
I have lived on and off in Woburn Sands since the early forties arriving here as a young boy from North London. I worked for over 35 years in the Post Office carrying out many roles from full time trade unionist to senior manager. When I retired I decided that I would like to have an allotment, having never ever dug a sod of earth before, now I am hooked but still rather raw on the finer techniques of gardening.
Vice Chairman
Peter Toogood
I am married with children and grandchildren. I moved to Milton Keynes in 1998 shortly after taking early retirement.
I became an allotment holder in August 1998 and I joined the committee in April 1999 at the A.G.M. My other main interests are reading, sport (mainly Athletics and Football) and travel.

I only moved to Woburn Sands two and a half years ago, but having been born in Wolverton a long time ago, I feel I have moved back home. I am in the unfortunate position of having to still work for a living. My main hobbies are my allotment, our grandchildren and bird spotting.
Tony Gale
I have lived in Bow Brickhill since 1977, having moved from Wembley via Bletchley.
I am a keen (geriatric) motorcyclist and have a small collection of post war British bikes.
Carol and I took over our first allotment in April 2007 and our second in November 2007, probably the best joint decision we have ever made.
Treasurer
Paul Hamer I am married with four grown-up children and four grandchildren. I moved to Woburn Sands in 2000 and took on my first plot in 2004. I was elected Treasurer in 2009 with no previous committee experience.
I have worked in horticultural research on frost protection, irrigation and storage of fruit and more recently on energy saving techniques in greenhouse production. I love seeing the delight my grandchildren have in harvesting allotment crops.
Marie Baker
I moved to Aspley Heath in 2001 and took early retirement in July 2007, after a teaching career spanning 34 years. I joined the Society in May 2005 and was elected to the Committee in April 2007. I offered to take on the role of secretary. As secretary I have now been given custody of the Society’s documents and am currently working on the history of the Allotments. Although I have a great love of gardening, growing produce was completely new to me.

Anne Corbett
I am married to Andy and we have 3 children and have lived in Woburn Sands since 2001. I grew up in Bletchley and my family have always lived locally Woburn, Husborne Crawley, Aspley Guise and Drayton Parslow.
I took over my plot in June last year and have had a very enjoyable first year with my husband and have gained a wealth of knowledge from the more experienced plotholders on the field. I also keep 6 chickens at home in our backgarden. We are looking forward to enjoying harvesting more crops from our plot as well as fresh eggs layed daily by our hens.
